Will Apple Launch a New Product to Celebrate the Apple Store's 10th Birthday?

There's plenty of drama and suspense leading up to the Apple Store's 10th retail anniversary, which will take place this Thursday, May 19th. It's a significant milestone, and if all the online chatter is to be believed, Apple might be planning seize the day by launching a new product.

According to Boy Genius Report, around 10-15 employees from each Apple Store are on the books to work an overnight shift from late Saturday through mid-Sunday (apparently Apple plans to celebrate the Apple Store's birthday over the weekend). Adding to the intrigue, BGR claims to have heard from a "solid Apple source" that these employees will have to lock their cell phones in the main office and sign an NDA with Apple.

Sounds super secretive, doesn't it? Well, there's more. Apple workers will be hoisting up black curtains in store windows, so if you think you'll just stroll by this weekend and take a peek inside after hours, think again. In addition to all this, employees have reportedly been downloading gigabytes of data from corporate in a password protected ZIP archive labeled "training" that no one will have access to until Saturday afternoon.

It all sounds a little bit like a movie script, and unfortunately we won't get to see how it ends (begins?) until this weekend. Any thoughts on what Apple might be planning?
